Kyphi Incense - Kapet Incense - Handmade Temple Incense - Egyptian Temple Incense - Ritual Incense
Handmade Kapet/Kyphi incense, also known as Egyptian temple incense. This incense is made over the course of 13 nights starting with the base assembled on the first night of the new moon. Each night following the dry ingredients are combined until the full moon/13th night when both the liquid base and the dry ingredients are married together forming the incense. The incense is then let to dry/cook/charge in the moon and sun light for at least two weeks until it is completely dry. It is then stored in air tight containers.
You will receive approximately 15 grams of incense (approximately 10 pieces) which has been formed into small balls. This incense is potent and only a small amount is needed. It must be burned over a charcoal briquette or hot stones.
This Kapet/Kyphi is meant to be burned in the evening after the sun has completely set and the sky is dark.
The ingredients I have used follow the ancient Egyptian recipes. The wet base includes: Wine, Honey, Dates, Raisins, and Lotus Oil. The dry ingredients include: Frankincense, Sandalwood, Benzoin, Myrrh, Cedar, Juniper berries, Galangal, Pinon pine, Orris root, Cinnamon, Dragons Blood, and Gum Arabic.
This is not a casual incense and can be both smoky and heavy due to the high content of resins.
I offer this incense either as incense only or you can chose the option to come with the charcoal briquettes-you will receive 8 chemical free briquettes with your incense with that option.
